JOB SUMMARY:
The Studio Assistant will provide administrative and production support for video projects, broadcasts and day-to-day operations. This is a cross-departmental, entry-level position. We are looking for a hands-on, pro-active and energetic individual able to adapt to a wide-range of situations. Some off-hour work may be required.
Transvideo Studios is a video production and post-production studio with crew, equipment, and top-flight soundstages all under one roof. We have the largest soundstage in Silicon Valley, and all the resources, crew, and space necessary to manage a production from concept to final delivery.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Project administration including data entry, project hours and scheduling
- Studio and location production crew assignments
- Camera operation for Live Television Broadcasts (including occasional off-hours, as needed)
- Basic accounting duties
- Reception coverage
- Research projects
- Duplication, including Q.C., and packaging
- Transcription
- General facilities support
- Teleprompting
- Set-building and preparation including painting the cyc
- Basic make-up for Talent
- Deliveries
- Production Assistant duties on set
- Stage manager duties
- Support Administration and Human Resources Manager and others as required
- Other assignments and projects as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Must be detail-oriented, reliable, and work well in teams and independently
- Interest in Video or Film Production
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to act with initiative and good judgment
- Punctual
- Must work well under pressure
- Good driving record
- Must be able to lift 35 pounds
- Willing to work weekends, nights, holidays, and early morning hours
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Two years education or experience in administration and/or video/film production required.
